If the original Lucha Libre game put you right into the thick of the wrestling action, then this follow-up turns the excitement level to maximum. RTG has taken the opportunity to invigorate the popular slot with the latest visuals including a selection of new symbols upon the game’s reels. There are also a few new perks while spinning these, so you may find something interesting taking place as far as special features are concerned.
Back to the symbols in the slot though, and the first new additions are a green chilli pepper symbol and another of some guacamole with a chip to dip in it. There’s also a shot glass filled with tequila with the customary lime wedges besides. You’ll also see a bottle of tabasco sauce and a poster to advertise the upcoming lucha libre event. These are joined by some cards hyping up the wrestlers and another symbol of a spectator at the ringside. The referee acts as another symbol, while the championship belt and winner’s trophy can also be seen as additional icons.
If you do choose to play Lucha Libre 2, you’ll find the same layout of five reels and three rows with 30 pay lines for you to bet on. The lines are fully customisable though, which can be done by using the relevant plus and minus buttons at the bottom of the reels. You can choose a wager of between 1p and 10p per line to customise your bet, and £3 stands at this slot’s highest overall wager possibility.
As with the first Lucha Libre game, this second coming also features two different wild symbols. They’re present in the form of wrestling competitors – Nacho Friend and Taco Malo. Wrestlers appear as grouped wilds on the third reel of the slot during base gameplay. As wilds, they will substitute for all standard symbols in the game, with the exception being scatter symbols.
If a wrestler completely covers the third reel, then there’s the chance for it to either multiply the prizes that include a wild, or for it to jump on to at least one more of the remaining reels. Any pay-outs featuring a wild may be multiplied by up to 10x.
Time to Rumble
Lucha Libre 2 also has its own set of two scatter symbols, with the first one bearing the words ‘Mucho Mayhem!’, and both of these can appear in any location on the reels and will still reward you with a pay-out of up to 250x your stake.
The slot’s Time to Rumble feature is triggered whenever three or more of the scattered Mucho Mayhem! symbols appear anywhere on the reels. When the round starts, you are required to choose from three fighting moves to try and defeat your wrestling opponent. These increase in the level of riskiness depending on which you choose. Should you be successful with your chosen fighting move, you’ll receive specific rewards as follows:
- El Loco Low Blow: If this is successful, you receive 10 free spins with triple multipliers. If it is unsuccessful you receive 10 free spins with double multipliers.
- El Sapa de Papa: If this is successful, you receive 8 free spins with triple multipliers + a single Fist of Fury spin. If it is unsuccessful, you receive 8 free spins with double multipliers.
- Supremo Falcon Hail: If this is successful you receive 6 free spins with triple multipliers + 2 Fist of Fury spins. If it is unsuccessful you receive 6 free spins with normal pays and a single Fist of Fury spin.
During this round, fist symbols are added to reels one and two. A Fist of Fury spin is awarded to you if fists appear on both these reels anywhere while a wrestler appears on reel three.
Fist of Fury
The Fist of Fury spins are played before free spins if they have been won prior to it taking place. Up to four of the reels are held with scattered fist symbols in all positions, while the other reels spin.
Scattered fists appear on all reels and pay from anywhere during the re-spins.
There’s so much to enjoy about the Fist of Fury 2 slot game. It takes the premise of the first game and enhances it to new levels, fulfilling all of its’ potential. The special features seem more entertaining and, of course, it’s always great to see an improvement on graphics, which weren’t bad in the first game to begin with but are super impressive here.
